Those past couple of weeks have been tough, the winter cold has been rough, some have experienced heavy snowing, and I’m afraid we are not done yet! To give us some courage to brave the weather, take a look back at some queens of style, don’t you just want to splurge on a fabulous coat? In faux fur of course, always!
The first thing I thought when I came across this picture is, how come I don’t know this girl? She has a very special beauty and striking features but I never saw her before and then I thought if Vogue US is doing a full page portrait of her she must be kind of famous. I discovered that her name is Amber and she is one of the daughter of Duran Duran lead singer Simon and top model Yasmine Le Bon (thanks Wikipedia!). With this type of genes no wonder Amber is so beautiful!
Is it possible to incorporate sportswear pieces in our wardrobe and be sexy? The answer is yes! It’s been a while since I felt the urge to buy a new pair of great sneakers not for working out (even if I should…), but that I could wear at work but also to go out. if you are still not convinced hopefully the images below will make you change your mind. And sometimes it’s just nice to be in sweatpants and hoodies sweaters, but always with style!
Pink is one of my favorite color for this upcoming Spring (only 3 months away yeah!). To give you an idea on how to wear it follow the Runway looks vibe below, street style cool girls, celebrities and blogger Alix fromthe Cherry Blossom Girlwho perfectly master this trend: the plus, balance it with black vibrant nail polish and nude make up!
For a luxury label tee shirt as worn by Kelly Osbourne. I already loved the way Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw styled her J’adore Dior tee in Sex and the City, so needless to say I was happily surprised to see Miss Osbourne showing that she can also rock her Celine tee shirt perfectly balanced with edgy details (hair, tattoos, accessories). Some will say it’s way too much and not classy to expose labels but when it’s done with humor and style, I say Yes!
2013… I am not a big fan of 13’s number, 2012 sounded more optimistic, full of hopes. As expected the end of the world prophecy did not happened but some disturbing tragedies stroke us towards the end of the year which proves that 2012 is just a number, it doesn’t mean the world will become a better place from one day to another because “2012” sounds positive.
So maybe 2013 won’t be horrible or perfect but perhaps a decisive, empowering year. At least, we can work towards it and try to be more involved in causes that speak to us. We all have something that particularly awakens some compassion or pain… Just by doing a little gesture it actually helps changing things!
On a lighter note, I chose this picture of Kate Upton posing for Vogue UK January issue because it just reflects an optimistic way to see fashion, beauty, and if we push further, life (yes a glamorous life!)… I want to see more diversity, curvy, healthy models when I read magazines and look at ad campaigns. One of my main resolution is to make Le Bazhaar always more enjoyable, inspirational, fun but most of all know how lucky I am to be able to express myself and share everything I love! I wish you all a terrific and full of happiness year, and it will be if you decide it.
