Talking of Mod

Mod is everywhere. You open a magazine and all the fashion editorials are celebrating the Mod trend and the glorious period of the 60’s, which makes sense: designers like March Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors all did collections with strong Swinging London accents. After seeing a terrific editorial for  Self Service magazine, I talked about the subject here. I didn’t want to repeat myself but I was too tempted and here I am again! Only this time I would like to pay homage to Mod figures that we don’t mention that much, yes Edie Sedgwick or Twiggy are definitely eponymous figures of that time, but there was also Donyale Luna the first black supermodel a favorite of Richard Avedon and Harper’s Bazaar, Penelope Tree  muse of David Bailey, Mary Quant with her famous Vidal Sassoon hair cut… If you don’t know those names, I urge you to look up for them now, enjoy!
