Spring Summer 2015 Fashion Week Recap
This fashion week season was full of exciting things as usual, I thought it will be fun to relate what I liked and disliked about it!
All this 70’s and rock festival frenesia on the catwalk, spotted at Tommy Hilfiger, Anna Sui, Tom Ford, Pucci…
Angel face model Binx Walton who walked shows in NY, London Paris and Milan. She was The Girl of this fashion week
Watch out Pat Mc Grath, there is a new make up artist in town! Nigerian Bimpe Onakoya, first African woman, representing Maybelline during New York Fashion week, made quite an impression. She is behind DKNY, Lacoste, Opening Ceremony, Suno and many more hot designers flawless beauty looks on the catwalk.
Dolce and Gabbana show finale, always a moment!
The cast of OITNB, my favourite TV show of the moment, representing during NY fashion week
The tribute of designer Denis Basso to the late Joan Rivers. We miss you already
Those crazy hats at Donna Karan
Burberry Prosum collection was young, fresh, unexpected, love! Givenchy and surprisingly Saint Laurent were also mind blowing.
Jean Paul Gaultier announced that he was stopping his ready to wear collection to fully dedicate himself to haute couture and costumes.
The bad ass over the knee cage boots at Dsquared2, and overall the sexy gladiators spotted on many shows in cage or laced version!
Talking of shoes, great news the flat or comfy platform shoes will also still be a thing, our feet say Thank You!
Denim is back, and no need to ruin yourself, we all have a denim shirt, skirt, dress or pants just accessorise it to make it hot again!
The fun Barbie tribute at Moschino by Jeremy Scott
New street style obsession, fashion editor Annina Mislin. Just love her minimalist yet edgy look, plus how refreshing to see new girls photographed!
The fashion pregnancy wave: from Russian blogger Miroslova Duma, editor in chief of Lucky magazine, Eva Chen to Yasmin Sewell, they all prove you can be stylish and preggo!
Miley Cyrus, topless, at the Alexander Wang after party. Miley I love you but this time it’s not OK
Miley Cyrus (sorry Miley!) weird jewellery collaboration with Jeremy Scott, I get it but… No.
This was a tough one but I was simply not into Bryan Boy freaky mask
The bullying controversy against Kendall Jenner (one of the youngest Kardashian’s sister) who is a model on high demand right now and walked all the major shows. I’m just gonna repeat what I heard on TV: “she’s tall, skinny, pretty, wealthy and good at her job, get over it. Just leave her alone!!”
The Instagram feud against new French label Jacquemus (a cool brand by the way) not using one single black or asian model for his SS15 show. Oldest debate in fashion: Designers need to think globally and we are just tired to see some of them still having a misconception of what’s the world today…
Flash news, it was announced that John Galliano will design for Maison Martin Margiela. Not sure it’s the best marriage. I was excited to hear what John Galliano will do next but I didn’t see that one coming…
