After the talented Frida Giannini, Alessandro Michele has been named Creative Director of Italian luxury house, Gucci. The brand is entering a new era exploring more of the 70’s baroque prints and embellishments, going complete opposite of the glamorous 70’s power woman we were used to. Here are 3 reasons to rediscover the iconic house:
- Today’s Gucci girl is a romantic, an original, she’s playful and totally assume her quirkiness. The last Spring Summer Collection (SS16) is full of rich fabrics and bold mix of patterns with a strong vintage feel.
- I can not help but picture 70’s style icons Ali Mc Graw, Bianca Jagger or Marisa Berenson wearing most of the pieces of the collection and notice how relevant the clothing are as they would have been 40 years ago!
- With its beautiful bucolic illustrations and jewellery details, the Dionysus bag is fast becoming a must have as well as the fur loafers (for those who can afford it)! Just perfect for Christmas gift!!
