Chez Marion

My friend Marion lives in the cutest apartment ever in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.  She has such beautiful and delicate things that I couldn’t stop taking pictures of her place! Marion who is a sales advisor at  Hermes is also a true creative: she opened her own blog  Chocolat et vieilles dentelles which is a mix of cooking recipes, vintage finds and good addresses, on top of that she loves to sew or give a second life to purses found in flea markets among other things… I hope you enjoy the visit as much as I did!

An afternoon in Brooklyn

My friend Marion visited for a couple of days, she wanted to discover this highly coveted area of New York. Our focus was Williamsburg famous for the hipster and artists community (think beards, skinny jeans and plaid shirts!), vintage stores, antiques shops, flea markets, cool bars, healthy awesome food restaurants or joints are really part of the life here…The little bonus of the day was to see actress Anne Hathaway (no picture sorry!) shopping in a little clothing boutique on Franklin street, in Greenpoint. Hope you enjoy this little tour, all the addresses will be at the end of the post, enjoy!

I like the raw yet glowing feel of the pictures captured by photographer Juergen Teller (the March Jacobs ad campaigns, it’s him) in W magazine February issue with actresses Freida Pinto, Marion Cotillard or Amy Adams among others. It’s old news but I also love the Celine’s ad campaigns under Phoebe Philo, Daria is just beautiful with minimal make up. Plus, Agyness Deyn is back but as an aspiring actress which I find interesting…

Miam Miam!

If you love sweets and good deserts like me, I highly recommend those two places for the holidays, I discovered them while in Paris last month thanks to my friend Marion!

Les Pipelettes is a lovely cosy place to share homemade delicious deserts, shop exclusive gourmet products or enjoy a healthy yet yummy brunch on week ends. The two owners, Aline and Agnes, are so adorable and passionate that they make sure when you come in you 100% enjoy the experience!

Chez Bogato is deliciously regressive, you will be instantly transported back to your childhood, I saw candies there I used to have when I was 8! It’s also a great address if you are looking for a funny, one of a kind gift…
